The $21 million project redeveloped three historic properties – the former Arrowhead Café building, the Flat Iron building, and the Ann Uccello Street Co-op. The project leveraged funding from sources including the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), City of Hartford HOME program, federal tax credits, state historic tax, debt from Liberty Bank and CRDA, and equity. The project completes the first phase of the Arrowhead Gateway, a community-driven effort led by the San Juan Center and Carabetta Companies to reconnect Downtown Hartford with the North End.
