Columbus House provides outreach, shelter, and housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. The proposed project at 592 Ella T. Grasso Blvd. will demolish an existing building to build a three-story 30,000 square foot mixed used building. The development will provide office and community space, relocate the existing 15 bed Medical Respite program and expand to 30 beds, and house an additional 30 units of Permanent Supportive Housing for the elderly featuring in-suite bathrooms and central kitchen for personal use. The project is currently at 90% documentation and has secured 1.1 million from Legislative Appropriated Funds.
