Leticia is director level manager of non-profit operations and fund development with experience in community organizing, project management, team building, fundraising, and championing operational excellence. Her deep connection to her community drove her desire to dedicate over 20 years to work as a Community Organizer and Educator in the City of Bridgeport. It is through that dedication that Leticia formed long lasting relationships with local and Statewide community groups, civic engagement organizations such the Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI), as well as public health coalitions.
In 2014, Leticia expanded her nonprofit experience and leadership development by leading the operational management of a growing community development corporation, Bridgeport Neighborhood Trust, from daily operations to compliance, fund development, communications, and human resources for the next 8 years. In 2021, Leticia joined the HousingSmarts team to further develop her community development skills and has assisted in the procurement of millions of dollars for real estate development and community projects as well as another $1M in grant funding for the operational capacity and program needs of our clients.
